Navien’s WEC Series brings enhanced water treatment to your entire home. Using advanced electro-membrane technology, WEC significantly reduces total dissolved solids (TDS), hardness minerals, and other contaminants—all without the need for salt.
This compact, all-electric deionization filtration system installs at the water point of entry in your home and delivers clean, optimal water to every tap, appliance, and fixture to improve the water you cook with, bathe in, and use every day.
WEC is designed to make better water easier. Its Clean-In-Place (CIP) feature automatically flushes out contaminants from the internal membranes: no manual cleaning required.
There are no heavy bags to lift, no brine tanks to manage, and no re-piping required. Routine maintenance is minimal: just top off the CIP solution and replace the two included filters when needed.
The WEC is a capacitive deionization water filtration system with an electric two-phase process: adsorption and regeneration.
Phase 1: Adsorption
Water flows through a module with a charged membrane that attracts and holds onto contaminants like dissolved metals, minerals, and salts.
Phase 2: Regeneration
When the membrane is saturated, the polarity reverses to release the contaminants, which are flushed out through the wastewater line.
Pre- and post-filtration for a clean start and fresher finish
Each WEC starts with a sediment filter that screens out larger particles, then finishes with a carbon block that polishes the water for a fresh, great-tasting finish at every tap.
The dual NDI module design of the WEC means at least one module is always available to treat water.
Hard water isn’t just inconvenient—it can impact everything from your hair and skin to your laundry and plumbing. WEC helps prevent scale buildup and provides salt-free drinking water with significantly reduced total dissolved solids (TDS).
WEC filters out harmful substances including chlorine, heavy metals, calcium, and magnesium, improving the quality of every drop throughout your home:
Salt-free, economical, and eco-friendly with no harmful wastewater.
Protects pipes, appliances
and plumbing fixtures.
Reduces water-spotting on all surfaces, glassware, dishes, and silverware.
Great for hair, skin, cooking,
and washing clothes.
On demand whole-house water treatment without regeneration downtime.
Built-in automatic self-cleaning Clean-In-Place (CIP) technology for minimal maintenance.
Advanced electro-membrane technology removes contaminants.
Intuitive digital control panel for easy setup, operational data and troubleshooting.
Total dissolved solids (TDS) are invisible particles (like minerals, metals, salts, and organic matter) in your water. High TDS levels can cause scale buildup, affect taste, dull laundry, and strain appliances.
By managing TDS with the WEC, you’re proactively protecting your comfort and your home’s infrastructure, while potentially saving money in the long run.
WEC’s dual-module design ensures you never run out of treated water. As one module regenerates, the other takes over. With WEC, your home always has treated water, even during high-demand periods.
WEC pairs perfectly with tank, tankless, and heat pump water heaters, including tankless water heaters with recirculation, as well as combi-boilers. It helps protect water heater internal piping and components from scale buildup, extending the life of your hot water system.
